CANCELLED Jeffrey Simpson Lecture: The Anxieties of Americans and the Challenge for Canada

Out of an abundance of caution and due to rapidly changing circumstances surround COVID-19, BMIG has decided to cancel its forthcoming Distinguished Speakers Series lecture. We hope to reschedule Mr. Simpson for a future date.

BMIG’s Distinguished Speakers Series is pleased to welcome renowned Canadian journalist Jeffrey Simpson. Mr. Simpson was The Globe and Mail‘s National Affairs columnist for over 30 years. He is Canada’s most decorated journalist. He is a two-time recipient of the National Newspaper Award and winner of the National Magazine Award. He has won the Hyman Solomon Award for Excellence in Public Policy Journalism, the Kroeger College Award for Public Discourse, and the Charles Lynch Award for Excellence in Political Journalism. He was recognized as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2000.

Drawing on his decades of experience in journalism and public policy, Mr. Simpson will be speaking to StFX students and faculty about the ongoing challenges to Canada-US relations in the Trump era.

All are welcome.
